Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of NHCQF is composed of physicians, other health care professionals and one Medicare consumer representative for each state for which NHCQF holds the Medicare QIO contract (Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont)
- All Board members are independent.
- All Board members serve on a voluntary basis and receive no remuneration for their Board duties and activities.
- All physician Board members are active, licensed physicians engaged in professional activities in New Hampshire.
- All other health care professional Board members are nominated by and represent health care trade or professional organizations and all are actively working in health care in northern New England.
- All three Medicare consumer representatives are nominated by and represent their State's Chapter of AARP.
- All Board members must annually disclose information regarding "ownership interest" in health care facilities and/or organizations. Neither NHCQF itself nor any key personnel including Board members shall have an ownership interest greater than 5% or operate, or be owned or affiliated with a health care facility or an association of health care facilities in Maine, New Hampshire or Vermont.
- All Board members need to be active participants on the Board and meet NHCQF's Bylaws' attendance requirements which are consistent with those of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
Board members serve NHCQF and the three northern New England states because of their belief in and commitment to local peer review of and quality improvement in health care.

Chairman of the Board of Directors:Robert G. Dorf, DO of Merrimack, New Hampshire is serving his second term as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Northeast Health Care Quality Foundation (NHCQF) having been re-elected for the 2012-2013 term of office. Dr. Dorf was first elected to the NHCQF Board of Directors in 2008 and served as Vice Chairman two years before being elected Chairman in Dec. 2011. Dr. Dorf earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. He is Board-certified in Family Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physician Executives. Dr. Dorf currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Foundation Medical Partners in Nashua, New Hampshire. |

Each Board member is elected for a three-year term and is eligible to serve a maximum of two, three-year terms. Terms are staggered to ensure that the Board always has members with experience. Elections are held at NHCQF's Annual Meeting, routinely held in December. Term expiration dates are noted in parentheses.
