ISSUE: NHCQF Business Hours and Holidays  -  Printable pages

NHCQF is routinely open for business from Monday through Friday.  On routine business days, NHCQF's office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

NHCQF observed holidays (office is closed) for November, 2007 through December 31, 2008 are as follows:

Thanksgiving – Thursday, November 22, 2007 and Friday, November 23, 2007

Christmas – Monday, December 24, 2007 and Tuesday, December 25, 2007

New Year’s Day – Tuesday, January 1, 2008

Civil Rights Day- Monday, January 21, 2008

President's Day - Monday, February 18, 2008

Memorial Day - Monday, May 26, 2008

Independence Day - Friday, July 4, 2008

Labor Day - Monday, September 1, 2008

Columbus Day - Monday, October 13, 2008

Thanksgiving - Thursday, November 27, 2008 and Friday, November 28, 2008

Christmas – Wednesday, December 24, 2008 and Thursday, December 25, 2008

Hospital personnel need to be aware of these holiday days especially when issuing hospital notices. Patients need to be made aware of these NHCQF "nonwork" days which are important for patients in regards to their rights for requesting QIO review of hospital-issued notices (especially continued stay notices with immediate review rights).

The NHCQF office, including the Review Services Department, is closed on these days for all purposes. Any information (responses to potential denials, quality issues or submission of medical records) due at NHCQF on a NHCQF observed holiday will be automatically considered due on the first working day after the holiday; the hospital and/or physician need not request this extension on individual cases.
